“EASTER GREETINGS” FROM
EVEREST ACADEMY
These beautiful words sum up how our Everest family has risen and rallied these past few weeks. Faculty, staff, students, parents, benefactors and the School Board have been a beacon of light during these challenging times. In keeping with our motto, Always Higher, our dedicated teachers have embraced implementing new technologies and creating engaging lessons through Zoom calls and educational websites.

Our parent surveys indicate our families are grateful for the quality education which continues to move forward at Everest Academy. Every staff member is working hard to offer their services in planning, implementing programs, online tutoring, and offering additional support.
Our chaplain, Fr. Jason, leads inspirational prayers and talks as well as streaming Holy Hours and Masses live. Everest hosts a live family Rosary at 6:30pm every night. Special guests have included Chicago radio legend and author of the book “Broken Mary”, Kevin Matthews, and Kristin Reilly from One Hail Mary at a Time.

Our Parent University continues every Tuesday evening at 7pm with a live Zoom presentation. We were blessed to have our Everest Academy School Board President, Dr. Peter Diamond, give us his medical perspective on the current situation along with other practical tips on building an immune system and spiritually taking care of our souls.

Our apostolic outreach, Mission Love, has many Everest families busy cutting materials and sewing masks for local hospitals and nursing homes.

We are especially grateful to the Huynh family who have spent countless hours sewing hundreds of masks for the cause. There is also a daily faith challenge where our middle schoolers have shared their faith through acts of love in their family and posted encouraging faith filled messages on social media.

Though these are uncertain times, there is one thing we DO know … that our Everest Academy mission, ‘Forming Christian leaders to change the world’, is needed now more than ever. Together, with God’s loving grace and guidance, we remain firm in our resolve that Everest Academy and the need for Catholic Education will continue. Our mission has never been more relevant than today.

Thank you for your support of Everest Academy. Please know that you are in our daily prayers. If you have any special intentions you would like us to include in our nightly Rosary Live Stream, please contact me at szabilka@everestlemont.com. You can also visit our website at everestadvantage.org.

On behalf of the Everest family, we wish you a joyous Easter Season.

May the Risen Christ bring you peace and hope,
