O n January 26th, 2020, Everest Academy will officially kick-off its 2020 Annual Appeal, which will coincide with Catholic Schools Week.
Tuition alone does not cover the cost of educating our students. As an Independent Private Catholic School, Everest Academy does not receive funding through a parish or the Archdioceses. Our only sources of funding are tuition and donations from our families and benefactors.
Giving an unrestricted monetary gift to Everest Academy is the most direct and significant way to make a positive impact on our school and its mission to provide our students the highest quality education and contribute to integral formation as Catholic Christian leaders.
In just the past two years, we have been able to create an outdoor sacred space to better the Catholic formation of our children. We have added new, experienced staff to mentor, guide, and educate our children. We have added to our sports programs with a new sound system and new bleachers to enhance the extracurricular experience of our children and their families. And we continue to invest in an educational campus that fully supports a safe and inviting learning environment for all our students.
Cost of Educating Students
At the very heart of our mission, as a private, independent Catholic school, is the process of Integral Formation®. In essence, Integral Formation® is the method by which the faculty and staff at Everest apply the teachings of the Catholic Church to the everyday lives of its students as we help them form into the unique individuals God intends. It was created by the Legionaries of Christ in support of their mission to form leaders for Christ. We focus our efforts on helping students excel in four main areas: Academics, Spiritual Formation, Character Development, and Service to Others. Everest students are not only exceptional academically but also willing to contribute their time, talents, and treasure in service to God and others. They hold the Gospel principles of truth, justice, and compassion in high regard. Their thoughts and actions are influenced by a Catholic Christian view of the human person and of the world.
Everest Academy operates as a Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Chicago with the full support and approval of Archbishop Blase Cupich. Everest Academy is also recognized by the Illinois Board of Education. Located in Lemont, Everest draws families from many of the surrounding communities including Lemont, Homer Glen, Burr Ridge, Palos Park, Orland Park, Willow Springs, Willowbrook, Darien, Hinsdale, and even Romeoville and Frankfort.
Here, at Everest Academy, we are poised for growth, and ready to give our students a Catholic educational experience that will last them a lifetime. Find out more by taking a tour of our campus.
